Ice down the solar modules!
Applying ice to the solar modules cools them down and raises the voltage to
increase their power output.

Here comes Ben
Ben covered the 1/4 kilometer distance in 74 seconds.

Here comes Jim in his 660-Watt racer,

Crossing the finish line.
It took 46.5 seconds to cover the 250 meter distance, A NEW WORLD RECORD!
Jim reached a top speed of 17 mph.

The Confluence Technology Center lived up to its name today. We hope to be back again next year.

Other solar vehicles were there for the kids too.
This solar powered go-kart has a 300-watt electric motor that has a 24-volt battery that
is charged by the 165-watt RWE Schott solar module mounted on top. This go-kart, driven
by 11-year old Denali White, does about 12 miles per hour.
