World's First Solar Drag Race
2006 Solar Drag Race Photos

Look what the 5th and 6th graders put together (with a little help from some adults).

These are photos of the solar dragster put together by middle schoolers in Ferry County,
Washington. They were not able to get their dragster to Wenatchee in 06', but they promise to be there
in 07'.

Cooling off in the solar-power fountain

Dawson White and his new friend cool off in the solar powered fountain.
The fountain has a 12-volt bilge pump that is driven directly off of the 80-watt
solar PV module. The simple fountain is a great demonstration of solar energy.
The fountain instantly stops flowing when someone shades the module.
More 2006 photos will be added soon. Keep checking back.
